“Being busy doesn't mean that you don't love somebody or you're not looking out for them. But sometimes things happen at weird times.”

About Preet
Preet Anand is the CEO and co-founder of Snug, a free safety app now used by thousands of older adults across the country.
Snug inverts how medical alert systems normally work. Traditional devices require you to press a button during an emergency — which only helps if you are conscious and can reach it. Snug asks you to check in once a day instead. If you miss your check-in, your emergency contacts hear about it right away. A paid plan adds professional dispatch.
He joined the show alongside Jan Van Vlack, the retired nurse whose own health scare led to the app, to talk about how the tool works, why it is different from what came before, and the cases where it has already made a difference.
